⏳ Time

2-3 hours, depending on how much adventuring you’re up for. We highly recommend adding the extra mile for the caves and waterfall—they’re the true MVPs of this hike!

🥾 The Trek

Easy, wide paths make for a chill hike. The highlight? Bre’s friend Darcy joined us—her radiant vibes led us right to the Caves Loop. These caves aren’t just fun to explore; the rock formations are wicked cool. 😍 Bonus wildlife sighting: we spotted a porcupine hanging out in a cave. (Don’t worry, we gave it plenty of space. No quill-related injuries here!)

🌟 Caves Rating: 8/10 – Super fun to explore, and the rock formations are next level!

Ps. This was not the cave 🤪

Back on the Robert Frost Trail, we headed for the fire tower. No views from the bottom, so if you want that epic 360° shot, you’ve gotta climb! If heights make your knees weak, maybe admire it from below.

On the way back, we made a key detour to the Roaring Falls Trail—a move we wouldn’t have made without Darcy’s guidance. 🙌 The waterfall stole the show! The lower view was gorgeous, but a quick climb to the upper falls made it even better.

🌟 Waterfall Rating: 9/10 – A perfect cherry on top of an already awesome hike!

🍖 Post-Hike Eats: Zack’s Texas Style BBQ

We were hungry. It was open. We have no regrets.

🔥 The Breakdown:

• Bre: Brisket 🥩

• KK: ½ rack of ribs 🍖

• Side for the table: Fried Brussels

This place is all about the sauces. Don’t leave without trying the Carolina sauce—you won’t regret it! While it was solid BBQ, it didn’t quite dethrone our reigning champ, Guerrilla Grill.

🌟 Food Rating: 7/10 – Good, but not life-changing.

✨ Final Thoughts

Mt. Toby is an easygoing adventure with big rewards—cool caves, a fire tower, and a must-see waterfall. If you do one thing, don’t skip the caves or Roaring Falls! And if you see a porcupine, maybe don’t try to pet it.

🏔 Overall Rating: 8.5/10 – A perfect mix of adventure and chill vibes!

Stay hungry, stay adventurous, and stay tuned! ⏳🥾🍽️
